Thank you!
This issue usually happens if you’re using a school account that blocks file sharing from outside organizations. The easiest fix is to switch to a personal account. If that doesn’t solve it, scroll down and use the backup link I’ve included for all my games.
Unfortunately, my Google Slides games cannot save progress as Slides has no built-in way to remember your place. This means every time you open a game, it will start from the beginning and any previous choices will be lost. However, my Google Forms games do include a saving feature, so your progress there will be saved.
Google Slides needs internet to load slides, images, and animations making my games only work when you are online.
Most of my games are made in Google Slides, which doesn’t support keyboard controls the way real games do. If you use the arrow keys, Slides will just move between slides and make the gameplay super confusing. Because of this, all controls are done through on-screen clickable links instead.
Most of my games can be played on mobile, but the experience isn’t always smooth. Some levels, like the Police Officer minigame in Job Simulator or the hidden-link level in The Lost Kitty don’t can't be played on phones at all. To add on to that, many of the tiny buttons throughout my games are much harder to tap on smaller screens. Because of that, a computer or larger device will always give you the best and easiest gameplay.
The first thing I would do is check the home screen of the game to see if there’s an instructions button. If there is, it will take you to a slide that explains how the game works. If not, some of my games include a walk-throughs showing how to beat a level, which can help you understand how to to play as well.
If your game doesn’t have either of those, check whether you’re playing something from my Old Projects section. In many of those older games, clicking anything that isn’t a link sends you to the next slide, which can make the gameplay very confusing. Be sure not to do that and the game should be working a lot smoother.
This is one of the additions of the latest Google Slides update. It disables links to move with animations making many of my games not work anymore. You can tell if you have it by clicking on a link and seeing if a black border of a rectangle appears.
Fortunately, I’ve found a workaround. If you click on the game as soon as it loads, the update will only affect the first slide. All the other slides will work normally. It’s a simple step, but it should keep the games running smoothly for you.
